Championship Fathering: Ministry Update
Championship Ministry Partners,
You have been a big part of Championship Fathering and I am eager to announce to you that we are moving into a new season of ministry. As many of you may have already heard, our CEO and your friend, Carey Casey has effectively retired and has passed the reins of the ministry to me, his son, Marcellus Casey. Carey and Melanie have moved back to Kansas City and I have re-established the base of the non-profit here as well. Melanie will continue assisting us administratively.
You have been a faithful supporter to this ministry and I have been dreaming and praying about ways to expand the ministry's vision to reach more communities of people as we also impact fathers.
Leading this ministry is a responsibility that I embrace as an honor and with great seriousness. That’s why I am taking the time to pray, research, and discern some of the best ways to be effective for God’s Kingdom in Kansas City and beyond.
Some of what I will definitely bring into our ministry focus is what I already do in the community through youth sports programs, relationships in the Eastside neighborhood of Kansas City, and ministry as a chaplain to professional athletes, coaches and their spouses through the Kansas City Chiefs organization.
We look forward to your continued support so that the dreams and ideals of Championship Fathering can blossom into new ministry initiatives.
Stay tuned for an announcement on the vision and direction coming to you in September.
Until then, please take a look at my bio and resumé to begin to get to know me and my family.
Marcellus Casey
